
4th Annual DFW ICON Singing Contest is Set to Take Over Grapevine’s 33rd Annual Main Street Fest May 19, 20 & 21
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS – (Feb 23, 2017) – The 4th annual DFW ICON has opened up registration for it’s 4th annual singing contest to be held during Grapevine’s 33rd Annual Main Street Fest May 19, 20 and 21. Producer, Jonathan George of JG Entertainment, expects to find promising talent in hopes of launching the next big star. DFW ICON will also benefit Kidd’s Kids, the organization founded by the late Kidd Kraddick.
DFW ICON will open the microphone to talented singers between the ages 7 to 30 years old. Winner packages exceed $20,000 in prizes including recording with award winning producers, artist branding, social media branding, photo shoots, image consulting, scholarships and more.
DFW ICON was created by Dallas native Jonathan George, CEO of JG Entertainment. George currently lives in LA and is responsible for producing some of the biggest young names on Disney, Nickelodeon, MTV, Universal, Sony and more. He is responsible for developing American Idol’s Dalton Rapattoni as well as Top 12 Guys Trevor Douglas. George states, “It is exciting to come home to Dallas to find the most promising talent. We are always looking for new and up coming stars. Stars are not born, they are created.”

Preliminary rounds will be held at the Palace Theatre May 19 and 20. Finals will be held on the Main Stage on May 21. Talent will be placed in four categories grouped by ages 7-11, 12-14, 15-17 and 18-30. Those wanting to compete must register online at www.DFWICON.com. There is a discount for early registration.
